Megyn Kelly's Appalling Infliction of Suffering
Dear Megyn,
Remember this? This is the day we were all heartbroken at the loss of innocent lives at Sandy Hook. To see such young lives slaughtered at the hands of mentally unbalanced man trained to use automatic weapons with his mother's support was incomprehensible. Guess what Megyn, this horror is being relived everyday for the survivors: the parents, the relatives, and the friends of those children and adults massacred. Time does not heal a wound this profound. Did it even occur to you how this emotionally eviscerated the victims of the Sandy Hook community?
There's no other way of saying this, but you are a media whore. To begin your new career change at MSNBC with that hideous interview with Alex Jones deludedly espousing his conspiracy theory on Sandy Hook shows you have a callous disregard for the suffering of others. What's next for you Megyn? Are you going to interview Rush Limbaugh revealing his thoughts on how the Pulse Nightclub victims deserved what they got because they were gay?
Maybe in your entertainment news world controversial press is a ratings booster, but in the real world it reveals your contempt for those innocent victims of senseless slaughter. It clearly demonstrates how anyone's emotional suffering which you deem newsworthy is fodder for your sick self-absorbed drive to be a media star.
You may not be fired for this intentional infliction of emotional distress, but you should be. As a so-called humane society, we have lost our sensitivity to how devastating criminally injurious violence is and you are the poster child for this. Maybe you need to talk to your counterparts John Walsh or Nancy Grace to gain some insight that victims bear these scars for life. Or maybe, as a mother, you should consider how you'd feel if your child was murdered and used over and over again for media ratings.
Behind your botoxed affectless face, I wonder if there beats a heart. I hope your contemptible lack of empathy inspires a movement to boycott your news program. Maybe then you will realize, as a society, we should not tolerate increasing your celebrity news status at the expense of those who have and still suffer greatly.
