World War lll: It Starts With An Assassination

There is no doubt that Soleimani was a terrorist. Compelling
reasons for killing him was contemplated by previous administrations
but the fear an assassination of a man of such stature, revered by
Iranians, would galvanize the Mideast plunging us into World War lll.
Anyone watching his funeral this week have now realized we have reason to be afraid-very afraid. Soleimani's assassination has united
millions in the Muslim world vowing a furious retaliation. We are now marked by the region and sleeper cells that successfully engineered 9/11. We will be victims of paranoia, never knowing when or how Iran's wrath will reign down on our daily lives.

Few remember their history lessons documenting how World War l began with the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife by Bosnian revolutionaries in sleeper cells known as the Black Hand.
Their motto was 'Unification or Death'. Revolutionaries do not consider themselves terrorists; they identify themselves as patriots. Their single act of retribution plunged the world into a global war setting the stage for the unresolved conditions which led to World War ll. Now we could be at the precipice of another world war.

I find the verbiage describing the assassination repugnant. Words such as the 'target' was 'terminated' or 'taken out' for the benefit of US security rationalizes that our government will 'terminate' anyone regardless of cost to our security. Further distressing is that we have been given no justification from our serial liar of a president as to why he opened the door to world conflict when his predecessors (both Republicans and Democrats) found it too risky.

Equally distressing is our allies distancing themselves from Soleimani's assassination-they are cognizant of not wanting to be seen as an accomplice to a political assassination. No one is coming to our defense because there is no defense for this lone ranger debacle. Our president's nationalist policies, foolish self-absorption and poor judgment have alienated and isolated us from our global partners.

Finally, it is incredibly maddening that our President would divulge to his Mar a Lago minions last week that 'something big' would be going down with Iran. Forget informing Congress and our Allies whom had been left in the dark. No wonder we are hated all over the world (except for Putin who loves Trump's self-preening ignorance).

It is clear that Iran will never give up until they exact revenge on Trump himself. Until he dies, he, his family, and his assets around the world will be in the crosshairs of Iran's wrath. This is the karmic debt he will pay for his hubris.
