The President announced he would not be attending the annual White House Correspondent's Dinner. He tweeted his regrets instead of holding a press conference. This is surprising, since journalists were looking forward a jovial evening roasting the President's love of the free press. Evidently his delicate gastric system cannot handle the menu's repast: cracked nuts, crow, cooked goose, and humble pie. Considering his recent anti-press vitriol, it would be tempting to conjecture he is boycotting the popular yearly event due to huevos pequenas but the alternative truth is he'll be too busy deporting immigrants, nixing healthcare for millions, and writing love letters to Putin.
