Isn't it interesting that our military-avoidant President and his, "I don't care, do you?' wife end up in Iraq after firing the Secretary of Defense and being forced to stay in Washington because of his autocratic decision to shut down the government? Obviously trying to salvage the blistering attacks on his chaotic administration, Mr. and Mrs. Trump appeared to try to recover part of their Floridian fling for New Year's by attempting to care about our troops. Since Mr. Trump is not known for demonstrating any empathy or altruism, the Iraqi visit may be his only defense for proceeding with his initial New Year's Mar-a-Lago plans. What would make him face even more criticism for heading to Mar-a-Lago after visiting the troops?
